Bryan/College Station Society

We are delighted to announce that we have succeeded in re-establishing a local society of the Archaeological Institute of America right here in Bryan/College Station!

You are probably aware that Archaeological Institute of America, founded in 1879, is North America's oldest and largest archaeological organization. It includes among its members professional archaeologists, students, and people from all walks of life who share a passion for understanding the human past. Today, the AIA has over 100 societies or chapters throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe, all of which host lectures on the latest archaeological discoveries.

If you are not already a member, please consider joining the AIA as a member of the Bryan/College Station Society by clicking here. Membership brings with it the AIA Newsletter, information about AIA tours, an exclusive membership card and decal, discounts on Annual Meeting registration and AIA merchandise, and the opportunity to apply for AIA fellowships and excavation grants. Your tax-deductible membership contribution will support our mission, and your voice, added to ours, will help us play a vital role in the discovery and preservation of the past.

It is our pleasure to announce the first lecture of the Spring 2012 schedule for the Bryan/College Station AIA society:
